One who wishes to be considered by society as a member of the opposite sex. One who has not undergone a sex change per say but who assumes the role of the female in her looks.

Shemales are also called women with dicks.  Because of the hormonal intake in order for a man to grow breasts and assume a fiminine demenour, shemales do not always have fully functional dicks.
